Who We Are
CareHub is a research-driven health tracking platform designed specifically for individuals and families affected by chronic disease . We're not a medical device. We're not a healthcare provider. We're a tool to help you organize your health data, track symptoms, and communicate better with your care team.
Our founder has personally navigated cancer caregiving, and this platform was born from that experience. We're committed to radical transparency, privacy-first design, and building tools that actually help—not tools that extract data for profit.
What You Agree To
By using CareHub, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration
- Keep your password secure and not share your account
- Use the platform for personal health tracking only (not commercial purposes)
- Not attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or abuse our systems
- Respect other users' privacy if using community features
You must be 18 years or older to create an account. If you're tracking data for a minor, you represent that you have legal authority to do so (parent/guardian).
What We Promise
We commit to:
- Your data is yours. We will never sell your health data. Period.
- HIPAA-ready architecture. We use enterprise-grade encryption (AES-256), SOC 2 certified partners, and security practices that rival Fortune 500 healthcare companies
- Transparency. We'll tell you exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect it (see our Privacy Policy)
- No insurance reporting without consent. Your tracking data stays private unless you explicitly choose to share it
- Privacy-respecting analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2. If you decline analytics cookies, we receive only aggregated, cookieless data that cannot identify you
Research & Community Impact
Our mission is to improve cancer care for everyone. By using CareHub, you agree that we may share anonymized, aggregated insights derived from user data with:
- Patient advocacy organizations
- Caregiver support communities
- Clinical research teams studying symptom patterns and quality of life
- Pharmaceutical companies developing better treatments
What "anonymized" means: We remove all identifying information (name, email, location, etc.) and aggregate data across many users before sharing. Individual users cannot be re-identified from these insights.
Examples of what we might share:
- "78% of users tracking nausea report symptoms peak 2-3 days after chemotherapy"
- "Hydration tracking correlates with 23% reduction in fatigue severity"
- "Caregivers who use mood tracking report feeling 40% more in control"
This strategy is core to CareHub's purpose: elevating patient care levels by sharing real-world evidence that improves treatment protocols, speeds drug development, and validates patient experiences.
You can opt out of contributing anonymized data by contacting us at research.carehub@gmail.com.
Important Limitations
🚨 Medical Disclaimer
CareHub is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions. In an emergency, call 911 immediately—don't rely on this app.
📊 Accuracy
While we strive for reliability, CareHub is provided "as is." We can't guarantee 100% uptime or error-free operation. Back up critical health information elsewhere and always keep your care team informed.
🔒 Security Best Practices
Our security is enterprise-grade, but no system is 100% invulnerable. Use a strong, unique password. Enable two-factor authentication when available. Log out on shared devices.
Your Data Rights
You have the right to:
- Export your data anytime in machine-readable format (JSON/CSV)
- Delete your account from Profile → Settings
- Request a copy of all data we have about you
- Opt out of analytics (we only use privacy-respecting analytics for improving UX)
- Revoke consent for any research participation
Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized analytics may be retained for research (with no link to your identity).
Liability & Disputes
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareHub and its team are not liable for:
- Medical outcomes or decisions made using tracked data
- Data loss due to user error, device failure, or force majeure
- Third-party integrations or external services
- Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
Dispute Resolution: We prefer to resolve issues through friendly communication. If we can't reach agreement, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Class action lawsuits are waived.
(We know legal language is frustrating. This protects a small research team from catastrophic lawsuits while still giving you recourse if we truly screw up.)
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as CareHub evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via:
- Email to your registered address
- In-app notification on next login
- Prominent notice on this page
Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you disagree, you can delete your account and export your data.
